Hopefully another monthly expense you have is insurance. You need car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, just to name a few. There are a few small things you can do to understand what insurance you need and how you can pay less for the coverage you already have.
Home Insurance
If you own your own home you had better have some coverage... (more about this later). If you don't own your own home paying renters insurance probably isn't worth it (unless you have an absurd amount of valuables that you want to keep insured).
Car Insurance
If you don't have car insurance--get it! You can't afford not to have at least basic coverage. If you are driving a car that is more than 10 years old take off your . Possibly most importantly--shop around for the best rate. You can save hundreds of dollars each year simply by switching auto insurance companies. Life Insurance
If you aren't married and don't have children than it makes absolutely no sense for you to have life insurance. If you have a spounse and kids it's a different story.
